Friday, July 13th

3:17am: Adam Coyne reported a possible Trespassing at 102 West Wilcoxway. The officer is investigating.

6:11am: An officer checked on a Bank Alarm Activation at 204 West State Street. All was fine.

6:59am: A caller advised of an unlicensed driver headed to Jefferson and gave a vehicle description. The vehicle was not located by the officer.

10:57am: A Traffic Stop in the 900 Block of West Washington Street resulted in Lorrie Lawrence of Jefferson being cited for, “Driving While Suspended and Fail to Wear Safety Belt.”

11:30am: Officers performed a Funeral Escort.

12:52pm: An officer assisted a semi driver with mechanical problems at Elm and 220th Street.

12:53pm: A caller advised of subjects going door to door attempting to sell meat from a freezer in the truck. The officer was unable to locate the subjects.

1:54pm: Dennis Smalley reported his parked vehicle was struck ad damaged at the Greene County Fairgrounds. The 2009 Toyota Venza suffered a reported $200.00 in damages to the front. The officer is investigating.

2:05pm: A caller advised of stray dogs near State and Maple Streets. The officer did not locate any animals in the area.

4:11pm: An officer investigated a 10-50 Property Damage Accident at Wilson and Russell. A 97 Dodge Intrepid, owned and operated by Dzetta Thompson of Grand Junction, left the posted Yield Sign at Russell and Wilson Streets into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The 2010 Ford Edge, owned and operated by Kristi Winters of Jefferson, suffered $1000.00 damage to the driver’s side. The Thompson vehicle had a reported $100 in damages to the front. Thompson was cited for, “Fail to Obey Yield Sign.”

4:42pm: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 800 Block of West South Street.

9:14pm: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call n the 1000 Block of West Washington Street.

9:32pm: An officer assisted a subject, who had locked themselves out of their residence on Park Place.

10:29pm: An officer investigated a One Vehicle Property Damage Accident at Monroe and Wilson Streets. A 2008 Ford Focus, owned and operated by Troy Cathers of Dayton, turned the corner too sharp and struck a guy wire on a utility pole. The vehicle suffered a reported $1500.00 in front end and tire damage. The guy wire was not damaged. Cathers was cited for, “Fail to Maintain Control.”

Saturday, July 14th

2:58am: An officer located an Audible Alarm sounding inside the business at 304 North Elm Street. The officer found the business to be secure and a key holder was notified.

7:23am: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of Ram Drive.

10:16am: Teresa Lansman caught a stray dog near Wilson and McKinley. The officer placed the animal in the Animal Holding Facility. Rodney Blackmon of Jefferson was issued a Citation for, “Animal at Large Prohibited.”

3:05pm: A caller in the 600 Block of West Harrison Street advised he could smell burnt marijuana in the area. The officer checked the area, but did not locate the smell.

7:17pm: David Hamilton advised of a Careless Driver on Hwy. 4, heading north into Jefferson. The officer followed the reported vehicle, but did not witness any traffic infractions.

10:22pm: The White Oak Station advised of a possible Intoxicated Driver leaving 303 North Elm Street. The vehicle was not located by the officer.

11:30pm: Troy Remmers reported a Jefferson female had solicited him for sex by cell phone. Remmers was advised to report the incident to his local officials, as it occurred in Hartley, Iowa.

11:32pm: A Traffic Stop near Oakland and 220th Street resulted in Ryan Klocke of Carroll being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

Sunday, July 15th

8:08am: Barb Brooker called and advised of a vehicle, missing a tire, on the Bike Trail. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

10:48am: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of Ram Drive.

2:02pm: Shannon Flecher advised of a Careless Driver on 220th Street, heading east into Jefferson. The officer located the reported vehicle at 777 Wild Rose lane. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Jeng Vang, 36 of Dennison for, “Driving While Barred – Aggravated.”

6:11pm: An officer spoke with Maria Morales in connection to a Civil Child Custody Issue at the LEC.

10:15pm: A Traffic Stop in the 200 Block of West Adams Street resulted in Bart Baugh of Churdan being cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”
