The 2018 Iowa State Softball Tournament begins tomorrow at the Rogers Sports Complex in Fort Dodge, and headlining the day is a matchup between rival Dallas County squads.

Class 4A will feature top-ranked Adel-DeSoto-Minburn squaring off against eighth-seeded Dallas Center-Grimes at 1 p.m. on the Buena Vista University Field. Both teams enter the game having won their regional championships last Tuesday, with ADM besting Norwalk 8-1 and DCG taking out Pella 6-5. The Tigers enter the State Tournament with a 33-7 record, good enough to earn them the number one seed in the Class 4A tournament. The Fillies finished at 18-22. The teams played already this season, with ADM prevailing in Adel by a score of 11-5 back on June 6th.

ADM is making their first State Tournament appearance since 2008, while DCG is returning for the first time since winning the last of their three consecutive State Championships in 2015.
