We go from having a heat advisory for the last two days to a flash flood watch for Friday through Saturday in the Raccoon River Valley area.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Greene, Dallas and Guthrie counties that will be in effect from 4pm Friday through 10am Saturday. There is a marginal risk for severe weather potential slated for our primary coverage area today. Heavy rainfall and possible damaging winds are the primary threats with the severe weather risk. Estimated rainfall totals could be between one and two-inches. Heavy rainfall could cause temporary water over the roadways locally.
