Saturday at the Dallas County Fair is typically one of the busiest days, and this year is no different.
One of the most important aspects of tomorrow’s events is the election for the Dallas County Fair Board, with voting taking place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the gazebo. All Dallas County residents are eligible to vote, and are encouraged to do so. There’s also popular yearly kids events such as the pet shows, baby contest, and the pedal tractor pull. Additionally, there will be carnival rides, video games, little critter corner, tournaments, and livestock shows throughout the day at various locations.
As a reminder, tomorrow at 3 p.m. is when the bidding closes for the 4-H silent auction items. Other activities include: the Watermelon Feed by Farm Bureau from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. near the entertainment plaza; shooting demonstrations by the Sharp Shooters 4-H club from noon – 4 p.m. near the south arena; and “Minute to Win It – Ag Edition” from 3-5 p.m. at the Center Stage. The main event for the evening will be the Figure 8 and Circle Track Races at the North Track, starting at 7 p.m. The races will be followed by a fireworks show.
The Raccoon Valley Radio Big Red Radio will also be at the fairgrounds tomorrow and Sunday, as it’s been all week so far. You can also find results under the Dallas County Fair tab on this website. To see a full list of activities for each day of the fair, click the link below.
