The regular season finale saw the West Central Valley Wildcats baseball team travel to Madison County for a nonconference game against Class 3A Winterset. The Huskies outlasted the Wildcats, 2-1. West Central Valley head baseball coach Justin Keck shared with Raccoon Valley Radio that freshman Drew Taylor registered two hits in three plate apperances, recording a double and a single. The setback drops West Central Valley’s overall record to 11-14 overall. The Wildcats begin their playoff journey in Missouri Valley tomorrow evening, battling Logan-Magnolia in the first game of a postseason doubleheader. First pitch takes place around 5 p.m.
