The postseason trail for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers baseball team starts next Friday in eastern Iowa. The Iowa High School Athletic Association issued playoff brackets from Class 3A and 4A teams Thursday morning, and the Tigers found out they’ll begin their postseason run against the Grinnell Tigers in the Class 3A Substate 7 bracket. Grinnell is the top seed in the Substate 7 tournament with a 21-9 overall record and will host a semifinal round doubleheader on Friday, July 13, and the championship game on Monday, July 16. ADM faces Grinnell in the second semifinal game scheduled for 7 p.m. The ADM Tigers defeated their Dallas County neighbor, the Van Meter Bulldogs, 5-1, yesterday in southern Dallas County. ADM closes its Raccoon River Conference season tonight in Carlisle against the league-leading Wildcats. Varsity first pitch takes place around 7:30 p.m. tonight.
