The Perry baseball team pounded out 12 hits Wednesday night defeating Bondurant Farrar 12-1 in Raccoon River Conference baseball action from Bondurant. Austin Carpenter led the way finishing with three hits and a pair of runs scored. Kaleb Olejniczak, Alexis Garrido and Aaron Lockwood all finished with two hits and a pair of runs scored. Perry stole six bases as a team with Olejniczak stealing a pair of bases.
Lockwood earned the win tossing 5 1/3 shutout baseball. The senior worked around seven base on balls with a season high eight strikeouts. Avery Meister tossed the final inning and a third in the non save situation.
Perry improves to 7-7 and 6-4 in the RRC while Bondurant Farrar falls to 4-5 and 12-9 overall.
Perry will host Ballard tonight in a 7:00 game at Progressive Field.
