There are a few upcoming youth activities with Jefferson Parks and Rec to kick-start the month of July.
Dino-Mite Bash is for children ages three to six-years-old. Participants will do dinosaur-themed crafts and games at the Greene County Community Center from 10 to 11:30am on Thursday, July 5th. Cost to participate is $10 and Rosemary Hoyt will be leading the program.
Another opportunity for first grade and older individuals is happening on Monday, July 9th with Art on the Fly. It will be on Spectacular Shapes with art pieces focusing on Wassilly Kadinsky. Acrylic paints will be used on a 12-inch-by-12-inch canvas. Cost to participate is $40 and Jolene Peters will be the instructor.
Finally, kids three to six-years-old are encouraged to take part in the Snow Day program. It will be held on Thursday, July 12th at the community center from 10 to 11:30am. There will be snow-themed activities and games for children to play. Cost to participate is $10 and Hoyt will once again lead the program.
