**Tonight’s baseball games between ADM and Indianola are canceled due to unplayable field conditions.***

One of the best high school baseball squads in all of Iowa will play host to the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers this evening. The Indianola Indians welcome the Tigers to town for a nonconference contest. The Indians are rated as the fourth-best Class 4A baseball squad according to the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association, posting an overall record of 20-1. Their lone loss was a 7-0 forfeit against the Pella Little Dutch on June 1. The ADM baseball team had a rare day off Wednesday, and head coach Jason Book planned on using the day to work on some of their weaknesses. “We’re going to do some situational (batting practice), and work on some defensive situations,” Book said, “We have a couple of pitchers who need to throw in the bullpen. It’s not going to be a super-hard killer (of a practice), just (working) on somethings we need to clean up.”

ADM hopes to end a five-game overall losing streak on the road tonight. The Tigers latest loss came Tuesday evening in Adel, falling 3-2 to the Carroll Tigers. The setback is the fourth inside the Raccoon River Conference by a single run and the sixth league loss by fewer than two runs. ADM’s plated 77 runs during June, but have scored two runs or less in each of the last four contests. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network will provide live play by play of tonight’s nonconference baseball game on True Country K 107.9, raccoonvalleyradio.com, and the KKRF mobile app. The Veteran Power Sports & Equipment Pregame Show starts our live coverage around 6:30 p.m. from Indianola High School with first pitch set for 7 p.m.
