The Adel Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department is in the midst of a fundraiser, with a goal to purchase a rescue utility terrain vehicle (UTV) and skid unit.
The department believes the UTV will help them in several ways, most importantly that it will allow them to access sections of the bike trail quickly, in places an ambulance or fire truck can’t reach. They’ve made good progress so far, having raised over $6,000 at the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office All-Wheel Car Show. Now the fire department has set up a fundraiser on Facebook, where their goal is to raise $10,000. As an added incentive, anyone who donates $20 or more will receive a custom Adel Fire Supporter t-shirt, while supplies last.
They will continue being at an assortment of events in and around Adel the rest of the summer, including the Sweet Corn Festival in August. Click the link below to be directed to the donation page.
