The playoff brackets for Class 1A and 2A high school baseball teams were released last night by the Iowa High School Athletic Association. The Panorama Panthers found out they were one of six teams grouped into the Class 2A District 14 bracket and will open the postseason on Saturday, July 7 against Southeast Valley in Granger. The Panthers will play the first game of a postseason doubleheader starting at 5 p.m. Should the Panthers win, they’d face Class 2A No. 10 Van Meter in the district semifinal round on Tuesday, July 10. The Panorama Panther baseball team holds a 3-12 overall record. The Panthers hope to resume their season tomorrow night in Panora for a West Central Activities Conference doubleheader versus the West Central Valley Wildcats.
