Greene County hosts Nevada in make up Heart of Iowa Activities Conference baseball and softball tonight in Jefferson. Coach Tom Kennedy’s softball team is 6-16 and tonight’s game will be their first of the week. Coach John Hupp’s baseball Rams are 11-8 after playing not one, not two, but three, games yesterday at Allensworth Field. Greene County and Roland-Story (Story City) started the day with a HOIAC make up twin bill. Bryce Hoyle threw a complete game two-hitter with 11 strikeouts and no walks in game one as the Rams won, 2-1. The Norsemen (13-8) overcame an early 4-0 deficit and won the second game, 5-4. Last night, the Rams were 9-0 non-conference baseball winners over Woodward-Granger (15-6).

The game will resume where it left off on June 18 when it was weathered out in the bottom of the first inning with one out and no one on base in a 0-0 tie. Ben Wilkins is pitching for Greene County.
