The Guthrie Center City Council met in regular session Monday.
The Council discussed ongoing improvements to Mitchell Park. The existing bathhouse continues to be a primary focus for renovations. However, they are also considering adding on to the salvagable parts of the current structure, to make the bathhouse larger. City Administrator Laura Wolfe also tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the tennis and basketball court resurfacing has been delayed due to the wet weather.
The Council also approved the purchase of a truck, which was already allocated in the current fiscal year’s budget. They also discussed the 28 E agreement for police services, the bid process for a City owned lot, and a lease with New Opportunities. No formal action was taken on any of the discussion items.
