Six candidates are vying for this year’s Greene County Fair Queen crown.

Organizer Ann Cunningham says the list of candidates includes: Emily Finch, Gina Brown, Emily Bettey, Samantha Hardaway, Regan Lamoureux and Kara Reed. Qualifications to be eligible for Greene County Fair Queen include: the candidate must be a female and at least 16-years-old before the first day of this year’s Iowa State Fair, never been married, they must be in at least one worth-while organization and they must live in the county.

The fair queen coronation ceremony will be held on Friday, July 13th at 6:30pm in Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds. The 2017 queen was Gwen Black. This year’s winner will represent Greene County at the Iowa State Fair in the State Fair Queen contest.
