The baseball and softball games at West Central Valley Community Schools were postponed Monday before the teams even hit the diamond. The Wildcats were initially set to host the Earlham Cardinals for a pair of West Central Activities Conference doubleheaders. The games were called off in the middle of the afternoon due to unplayable field conditions due to recent heavy rains. The Wildcat and Cardinal baseball teams will attempt to get their league season series played tonight in Stuart. First pitch of game one is set for 5 p.m. tonight weather permitting. The schools’ softball teams will reconvene Friday for their pair of games starting at 6 p.m. Listen to the Raccoon Valley Radio Network all summer long for cancellation and delay information of area sports and community events.
