Heavy rains Monday night and continuing Tuesday morning provided too much water for many area baseball and softball diamonds in central Iowa to handle. One of the facilities affected was West Central Valley Community Schools as the Wildcats baseball and softball teams were unable to host the Madrid Tigers last night for a West Central Activites Conference contest. Weather permitting, the teams will square off Friday in Stuart. Both Wildcat summer sports programs have today off before hosting a league doubleheader Thursday versus the Woodward-Granger Hawks.
