The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers baseball team dropped a nonconference baseball game in Pleasant Hill Tuesday night, falling 12-5 to the host Southeast Polk Rams. ADM jumped out to a 2-0 start with single runs in the first and second inning. The Rams responded with a three-run bottom of the second inning to take the lead for good. Southeast Polk used a two-run third inning and a six-run fourth inning to create separation from ADM. Seniors Dalton Hews and Nick Lindgren along with sophomore Zach Fuller each had multihit games in the setback. Fuller produced a pair of doubles while Hews and Lindgren tallied three singles apiece. The loss was charged to senior Matthew West, accounting for five runs on seven hits in three innings pitched. West walked two and struck out two Rams batters. The loss drops ADM’s overall record to 7-10. Weather permitting, the Tigers resume their Raccoon River Conference season tonight against the Boone Toreadors.
