Greene County is at home in Jefferson at the City diamond on East Lincolnway tonight in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference softball with Nevada. The Rams lost a close game at Nevada on June 1, and Coach Tom Kennedy’s team is hoping to earn a split of the two game season series. Greene County is 4-13 overall after winning a conference game at Gilbert on Friday night, then losing both games on Saturday at the West Marshall tournament in State Center to the host team and to Newton.
This is a full week for the Rams with eight games on the schedule. The regular season has just two weeks left in it with Greene County entering Class 3A Regional tournament play on Tuesday, July 3 at a site and opponent to be determined.
