Nevada visits Jefferson tonight to play Greene County in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference baseball. The Cubs won 8-7 over the Rams in Nevada on June 1 by scoring the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Coach John Hupp’s team is coming off their busiest week of the season when they went 3-3 last week. The Rams stand at 6-7 overall after playing twice in Des Moines on Saturday at the Saydel tournament. Greene County lost 6-1 to Class 2A top 10 ranked Van Meter, then easily won over Clarke (Osceola) 14-0 by the 10 run rule in 4-1/2 innings.

Tonight’s game with Nevada will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage around 7 pm. with first pitch scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
