12:01am: An officer located an Open Door in the 500 Block of Greenewood Road.
4:25am: An officer responded to a Business Alarm activation at 400 North Elm Street. The business was secure. A key holder was contacted.
11:11am: Mary Jane Fields reported receiving the “IRS” Phone Scam Call. She was advised she owed a large amount in unpaid taxes and would be arrested if she did not immediately pay it. She recognized this as a scam and did not incur a loss.
11:44am: An officer completed a Funeral Escort.
12:25pm: Marlene Murphy reported the Theft of Prescription Medications from 102 South Grimmell Road #26. The officer is investigating.
12:37pm: Karen Bowen reported her juvenile son had been assaulted at 406 North Cedar Street. The juvenile refused to cooperate with the officer in the investigation.
2:51pm: Mary Peninger advised of a Careless Driver at Lincoln Way and Clark Streets. The officer located the driver and spoke with them about the complaint.
3:41pm: Chris Johnson reported a male subject on a skateboard in the roadway on North Mulberry Street. The officer made contact with the male at Sparky’s. He was attempting to get a ride to Boone from customers. A deputy transported the male to the Boone County Line.
4:11pm: A Traffic Stop in the 100 Block of West Harrison Street resulted in Rodney Halterman of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Have a Valid Driver’s License.”
5:19pm: Officers assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 1000 Block of West Lincoln Way Street.
7:50pm: Peggy Mahle requested a Welfare Check on her husband, who was staying at the Redwood Motel, located at 209 East Gallop Road. The officer made contact with the male, who was fine.
9:28pm: Anette Knoll reported a vehicle illegally parked at 777 Wild Rose Lane.
9:31pm: A Traffic Stop performed in the 1400 Block of South Elm Street resulted in Josey Weaver of Jefferson being cited for, “Violation of Condition of Minor’s School License.”
10:36pm: The Wild Rose Casino requested an officer at 777 Wild Rose Lane to determine if a patron’s Iowa Driver’s License was real. The officer determined the identification was real.
Saturday, June 16th
12:47am: A Traffic Stop was performed at Lincoln Way and Elm Streets resulting in Marsha Hewett of Omaha being cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”
5:36am: A Traffic Stop performed in the 600 Block of North Cedar Street resulted in Erin Stokes of Burlington being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
9:55am: Jennifer Schiltz reported locating a kitten at 805 West Harrison Street. The officer took the kitten to the Animal Holding Facility. A Paws worker recognized the kitten and advised they would return it to the owner.
10:00am: Mike Hill reported his dog escaped from him and was running loose. A subject brought the animal to the LEC a short time later. Hill picked up his animal.
10:14am: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.
10:17am: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 200 Block of East Washington Street.
10:27am: Carol Custer reported debris in the roadway at Elm and Ram Drive. The officer removed it from the roadway.
4:19pm: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.
8:16pm: A Carroll PD Officer requested assistance from the officer in locating a female subject in Jefferson who had not paid for her fuel in Carroll. The officer did not locate the subject.
10:06pm: Brenda Batschelet reported a Careless Driver in the 800 Block of West Adams Street. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.
10:18pm: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 500 Block of West Clark Street resulting in Shelley Gilbertson of Scranton being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
10:49pm: A Traffic Stop was performed at Lincoln Way and Elm Streets resulting in Daniel Weber of Fort Dodge being cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”
11:06pm: An officer assisted the Medical Examiner at 203 East Adams Street.
Sunday, June 17th
12:23am: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 1700 Block of West Wood drive resulting in Julie Carlson of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
12:54am: An officer located an Open Door in the 500 Block of Greenewood Road.
2:19am: A Traffic Stop was performed with a vehicle at 220th and Mulberry. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Bret Allen Dudley, 41 of Scranton for, OWI 1st Offense – Serious.”
6:54am: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical call in the 200 Block of North Grimmell Road.
9:11am: Katherine Thomas reported a Barking Dog in the 700 Block of South Oak Street. The officer contacted the owner about the issue. He was given a time period to become compliant with licensing ordinances.
4:19pm: Regency Park staff requested assistance from an officer with a violent patient at 100 Ram Drive.
6:09pm: A Traffic Stop was performed at State and Cedar Streets resulting in Roger Allen Burnie Jr. of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”
7:02pm: An officer spoke to two juveniles riding a moped in the 1200 Block of South Mulberry Street. The officer spoke to them about the safety issues of having a passenger on the scooter. The officer transported one juvenile home and spoke to a parent.
7:11pm: An officer spotted a passenger in a vehicle, who he knew had an active Arrest Warrant. A Traffic Stop was performed at 220th and Elm and Paul Richard Nelson, 44 of Jefferson was arrested for the “Probation Violation Warrant.”
10:53pm: A Traffic Stop was performed at 220th and Mulberry resulting Kenneth Walter Paxton of Fairfax being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
