In an effort to promote healthy living and family, Guthrie County Public Health will be hosting a Guthrie County Health Fair next month. The fair will take place at the Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center football stadium in Guthrie Center on Saturday, July 21st from 4-7pm.
There will be a grill out from 5-6:30pm with hamburgers, chips, and cookies for a free will donation. There will also be health related booths around Gonzales-Parrish Track, music, and prizes. Prizes will be given out from area businesses, including: Crafty’s Coffee and Gifts, Incredibowl, the Stuart Fremont Theatre, M&L Ice Cream, and a family pool pass to the Guthrie Center Aquatic Center.
The event is open to all ages and there is no admission cost. Public Health Director Jotham Arber tells Raccoon Valley Radio he sees this event as a great opportunity to inform the general public about healthy living, especially during the summer months.
