Eight days after it was originally scheduled, the Greene County and North Polk (Alleman) high sch00l softball teams played a Heart of Iowa Activities Conference game in Jefferson. The result was a 4-0 win for the Class 3A number 6 Cemets, who improved to 5-2 in league play and 10-4 overall. Coach Tom Kennedy’s Rams fell to 3-11 and 3-5. The loss was the fourth straight for the Rams and they’ve been out scored 37-4 during that stretch.
