Long time rivals Carroll High and Greene County are to meet tonight at Allensworth Field in Jefferson for a non-conference high school baseball match up. Action is set for around 7:30 p.m. on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.

Both teams have played just five games and both are 1-4 on the season. Carroll has been more competitive this season after struggling in recent seasons. The Tigers haven’t played since May 31. They have a .227 team batting average and a 7.54 team earned run average.

Coach John Hupp’s Rams last played on June 1. Greene County will be trying to snap a four game losing streak. The team batting average is .275 with senior Jordan Patterson leading the way with six hits in eight at bats, followed by sophomore Tyler Teeples with a .571 average. Greene County has a combined team ERA of 5.13 runs per game.
