Dallas Supervisors 5-29

The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Tuesday morning in regular session.

The first items on the agenda both relate to bond funds for the new law enforcement center. The Board will consider resolutions to appoint financial agents, as well as authorizing the issuance of capital loan notes. Following that, the Supervisors will consider two items for the Secondary Roads Department, including right of way purchase agreements and a contract with Daugherty Auction Services. At 9:30 and 9:45, the Board will hold public hearings regarding proposed changes to the general assistance and Veterans Affairs ordinances, respectively. Following the hearings, they will consider the first readings for both ordinances.

Other items on the agenda include: an amended urban renewal plan for West Des Moines; a resolution to reimburse a real estate transfer tax overpayment; setting a time and date for a public hearing on a waste management contract; and a contract amendment for a Wells Fargo procurement card. The meeting will conclude with workshops for the Facilities and Emergency Medical Services departments. The meeting will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in downtown Adel.
