Patrons at Casey Public Library will be benefiting from a new program for years to come. The library recently received a private donation that will help create the Thomas Duncan Memorial Education Enrichment Program.

Library Director Charlsie Dougherty explains what the program will bring to the community. “What it will be is it will be educational programs that help the community to grow and the surrounding area. You’ll see speakers of all different types, maybe some community, continuing education, just things for children, things for adults. It will be all kinds of things that just enrich the area.”

The program is named after Casey author Thomas Duncan, whose most famous work was “Gus the Great.” The program will be funded for a minimum of ten years and is controlled by the library’s board.
