U.S. Congressman David Young is now accepting applications for young adults interested in fall internships for his Washington D.C. and Des Moines Offices.
Interns will participate in a variety of duties, including: learning about and assisting in the legislative process, supporting the press office, helping with constituent service operations, and giving tours of the U.S. Capitol to Iowans. Young tells Raccoon Valley Radio he participated in political internships early on in his career and feels it is a very rewarding experience. He also says his office has hired several previous interns.
