We’re now less than a week away from the 2018 primary election, so Raccoon Valley Radio invites you to meet another candidate on the ballot in Dallas County.

Robert Greenway of DeSoto is one of three candidates vying for the Republican nomination for District 3 of the Dallas County Board of Supervisors. He has previously been a member of the DeSoto City Council and was instrumental in getting the local option sales and services tax passed countywide. Greenway says he decided to run for Supervisors because he was disappointed about what he felt was a recent history of inaction by the current Board. “They actually hampered the local option sales (and services) tax, they wouldn’t even put it on their website. I was disgusted it took them four times to get the law enforcement center passed, and (if) it wasn’t for Chad Leonard, the County Sheriff, (it wouldn’t have passed). He went on the road, did everything, they were not effective.”

Greenway says one thing he’d like to see happen if elected is a shift in the compensation for County employees, starting with decreasing the pay of the Board of Supervisors. To hear more from Greenway and the other candidates for the District 3 Supervisor seat, listen to the Special Edition Meet the Candidates program on demand at RaccoonValleyRadio.com, or by clicking the link below.
