The postseason opener for the No. 8 Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers girls soccer team last all of 58 seconds before severe stormed prompted a stoppage of play. Players and coaches from Perry and ADM Community Schools held out for almost two hours as heavy rains, straight-line winds, and lightning overtook the town of Adel. Right before 8 p.m, ADM Activities Director Reece Satre postponed the match because of more forecasted weather later in the evening and due to final exams taking place tomorrow for both districts. Weather permitting, the schools will resume play at 6 p.m. this evening at ADM Stadium in Adel. The winner of the match advances to the regional championship game against Ballard and Dallas Center-Grimes. Their semifinal match was also postponed last night due to weather, and the teams will make up the game tonight at 6 p.m. in Grimes.
