The 2018 primary election is now one week away, and before Dallas County voters head to the polls, it’s important for them to know who they’re voting for.
Those voting in the Republican primary on June 5th will have three candidates to choose from for the Board of Supervisors, District 3 seat. The incumbent is Kim Chapman of Adel, who has been on the Board since 2003. He outlines why he would like to remain a Dallas County Supervisor. “I understand Dallas County’s history, and the special opportunities that exist for Dallas County’s future because of the County’s growth. I chose to seek re-election, because I have a passion to preserve and to protect our sense of community while leading the way to smart growth to keep Dallas County the best place in Iowa to work, to live, and to raise a family.”
One thing Chapman says he would like to tackle if re-elected is to review County ordinances and amend any that he believes aren’t beneficial to the taxpayers.
