The ACGC softball team enters their second week of competition with an undefeated start. Their 3-0 opening week certainly had their fair share of individual performances, highlighted arguably by junior Savana Fuller’s 2-0 record in the pitcher’s circle. However, head coach Tim O’Brien feels the whole team is firing on all cylinders.
He commented on the team’s collaborative efforts after picking up a victory against Woodward-Granger. “It’s been a team effort by all of them. Our pitchers and catchers have done a really good job I would say to start the season here. But the whole team has backed them up with good batting.”
The Chargers’ next game is Wednesday against West Harrison in Guthrie Center. With a win, ACGC would secure their first four-game winning streak in program history. To hear more from O’Brien, listen to his full interview on tonight’s Guthrie County PM Sports Page on True Country K107.9, beginning at 6pm.
