Today is Memorial Day, and Perry and Adel city officials remind residents of closures for the holiday.

For Perry, all City offices, the Perry Water Works office, the McCreary Community Building, and the Perry Public Library are closed all day. Garbage and recycling routes scheduled for today will instead be picked up tomorrow, and Tuesday’s will move to Wednesday. There will also be no yard waste pickup Wednesday, but it will resume next week with pickup on the north side of Willis Avenue.

All Adel City offices and the public library are closed today in observance of Memorial Day, and there is no trash and recycling pickup. Additionally, all Dallas County offices are also closed the entire day. Finally, the post offices and banking institutions are closed in each city. All offices will reopen tomorrow.
