School is almost out for the year, and the Perry School District reminds people that for the 18th straight year they’ll be offering free hot meals throughout the summer.

The Perry Summer Food Service Program is provided to all children age 18 and under, running from June 4th through August 3rd. Meals will be served twice a day Monday through Friday at Perry Elementary. There is no charge for either meal for students, and the District promises that no one will be discriminated against in the course of the meal service. Food is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis, with breakfast served from 7:45-9 a.m., and lunch from 11:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to accompany their children to each meal, and can purchase breakfast for $1.75 and lunch for $3.50 each day. Weekly menus for the Summer Food Service Program will be posted on the Perry School website under lunch menus.
