acgcThe coaching carousel is once again active at ACGC. At the most recent Guthrie Center and Adair-Casey school board meetings respectively, the resignations of Head Boys Basketball Coach Jake Mohling and Head Boys Track Coach Tyler Mosbach were both accepted.

Mohling, who also becomes the outgoing Activities Director, led the Chargers in their inaugural two seasons to a 6-39 record. Before that he was at the helm of the Guthrie Center Tigers for two seasons. He resigned his duties at ACGC to take the Middle School Principal position at Woodward-Granger Middle School in Woodward. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio he’s grateful for his time in Guthrie Center, and thanks the district for helping him progress towards his goal of becoming a district superintendent.

Mosbach also spent four years in the Adair-Casey Community School District, coaching first the A-C Bombers and then the Chargers. This season he led the gold and black to eight entries at the Iowa State Co-Ed meet and helped the Chargers secure their first points in program history. He resigned his duties at ACGC to take a teaching position at Carlisle Middle School. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio he enjoyed his time, will really miss the kids, and will continue to follow ACGC athletics in the future.

Mohling will remain at ACGC until August 1st. There has been no official replacement named for either spots at this time.
