The June primaries are right around the corner, and different organizations are helping the public prepare to cast their vote. The Guthrie Center Area Development Corporation will host a candidate forum for those running in the primary elections for county and state offices. The forum will be held on Friday, June 1st from 1:30-2:30pm at First Christian Church in Guthrie Center.
The forum will include candidates who are running for offices representing Guthrie Center specifically, including: District Four County Supervisor, County Treasurer, County Attorney, County Recorder, and Iowa District 20 Representative. Corporation President Dennis Flanery tells Raccoon Valley Radio this event will be more of a meet and greet for the candidates as opposed to a formal debate. The event is free and open to the public.
Raccoon Valley Radio will also be hosting a Special Edition Primary Election Meet the Candidates In Depth News Magazine on Memorial Day. On-air presentations of the forum will be broadcasted on all three stations: KDLS, KGRA, and KKRF, at 1 and 7pm. They will also be available online following the first on-air broadcast and will be available through election day at RaccoonValleyRadio.com.
