Rising temperatures and the end of the school year usually mean an uptick in trips to the local pool. The City of Guthrie Center and the American Red Cross are partnering once again for swim lessons this summer at the Mitchell Park Aquatic Center.
There are two sessions available: June 11-22 (Panorama) and June 25-July 6 (Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center). The sessions are designed to coordinate transportation from the different districts, though family members can choose whichever session fits better with their schedule. Students must be at least five-years-old to participate in the lessons and the minimum fee is $35 per student.
There are six lesson levels, ranging from “Learn to Swim” to “Personal Water Safety.” The deadline for registration is June 4th for the first session, and June 18th for the second session. The $35 fee must be paid by the second day of lessons, otherwise admission in the class will be denied. The registration form can be accessed below:
