Perry-Lutheran-Home

The next edition of the Perry Lutheran Home’s Aging Well seminar series is coming soon, this time with a focus on caregivers.

According to the National Alliance for Caregiving, more than 65 million people in the United States provide care for chronically ill, disabled, or aged family members or friends. The Perry Lutheran Home acknowledges that caregiving can take its toll on those doing it, so they’re offering a free class called “Caring for the Caregiver.” The featured speaker will be Toni Larson, a Clinical Social Worker with Lutheran Family Service. She is a Certified Master Trainer, with a long history of working with caregivers throughout Iowa and teaching them skills to help them better care for their loved ones and themselves.

The seminar will be held this Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Bouton, located at 22952 141st Drive. There is no cost, but registration is requested. To learn more or to register, call Larson at 515-465-5342, or email her at tlarson@ifsiowa.org.
