The next three days of the Iowa High School State Track and Field Meet will feature a wide variety of events involving members of the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers girls track squad. Between automatic qualifiers and at-large bids, the ADM girls track team will compete in 11 competitions at Drake Stadium. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network spoke with ADM head girls track coach Bart Mueller after practice Tuesday afternoon. He believes the Tigers have a chance to place well in multiple events. “We got someone going for a repeat state title, so that’s a big goal for our 100 and 200-meter (runner Keaton Kester),” Mueller said, “I believe we have goals to place in the 400-meter hurdles and the open 800; possibly in the 400 (meter dash) and the 1500 (meter run).”
Mueller adds he feels ADM’s distance medley and 4 x100 meter relay teams have a good shot to place as well. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network will provide live updates throughout the 2018 Iowa State Track and Field Meet from Des Moines.
