Earlier this month, Marc and Misty Ray each had three additional charges levied against them related to the death of their adopted daughter, Sabrina Ray, and today they entered not-guilty pleas for each of the new charges.

According to online court documents, the Rays pleaded not-guilty through written arraignments for charges including: ongoing criminal conduct – unlawful activity, a class B felony; first degree theft, a class C felony; and first degree fraudulent practice, a class C felony. They have now pleaded not-guilty to each of the charges levied against them, which is 17 for Marc and 15 for Misty. Each of the offenses relates to the May 12, 2017 death of Sabrina, who was found dead in the Ray’s home having suffered severe malnutrition.

Trial dates have not yet been solidified, and the case has been continued on several occasions. The Rays have also requested their jury trials be moved out of Dallas County, and Judge Terry Rickers will possibly make a ruling on the relocation tomorrow. Marc Ray is being charged on 17 counts, including: one count of first degree murder, a class A felony; three counts of kidnapping in the first degree, a class A felony; one count of child endangerment resulting in death, a class B felony; one count of second degree sexual abuse, a class B felony; one count of ongoing criminal conduct – unlawful activity, a class B felony; four counts of child endangerment resulting in serious injury, a class C felony; three counts of neglect or abandonment of a dependent person, a class C felony; one count of third degree sexual abuse, a class C felony; one count of first degree theft, a class C felony; and one count of first degree fraudulent practice, a class C felony.

Misty Ray is being charged on 15 counts, including: one count of first degree murder, a class A felony; three counts of kidnapping in the first degree, a class A felony; one count of child endangerment resulting in death, a class B felony; one count of ongoing criminal conduct – unlawful activity, a class B felony; four counts of child endangerment resulting in serious injury, a class C felony; three counts of neglect or abandonment of a dependent person, a class C felony; one count of first degree theft, a class C felony; and one count of first degree fraudulent practice, a class C felony.
