As the school year winds down to a close, students at Perry Elementary are gearing up for some of their favorite activities of the year.
Principal Ned Menke says in the next month, students will be taking an assortment of field trips to places both close by and far away. “You know our public library, they have a big science exhibit with space and a lot of neat things that’s going on there. So we have several of our classes that are going to be taking some walking field trips over to the library in May. Our kindergarten’s going to head over to the Blank Park Zoo. First grade is going to be riding the train up in Boone. Of course our kids love those field trips at the end of the school year.”
Menke reminds parents and guardians that there will be permission forms coming home with students. They should keep an eye out for those, so the kids don’t miss any opportunities.
