Kindergarten students in Perry’s Academic, Cultural, and Enrichment Services (PACES) program recently gave a helping hand to the Humane Society of Perry’s cattery.
Every year, each class in the PACES program takes on a service project, and the kindergarten class decided they wanted to help local animals. They collected cat food, litter, treats, cleaning supplies, garbage bags, and other items, with all of it donated to the Perry cat shelter. The Humane Society was very appreciative of the generous donations and the hard work it took to collect everything, and they expressed that in a thank you note to the students.
PACES is a before and after school program through the Perry School District that offers educational and enrichment opportunities to children in preschool through 5th grade.
