Guthrie County CourthouseThe Guthrie County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session today.

County Engineer Josh Sebern will be present to discuss the bids for three upcoming bridge projects. The first project, in Victory Township, will replace four existing bridges with culverts at an estimated cost of $500,000. The second project is a single culvert conversion in Grant Township, and the final project is a culvert replacement on Adair Road. The two combined are estimated at $555,000. Sebern will also update the Board on his participation at the 2018 National Association of County Engineers (NACE) Conference.

At 10:30 a.m., the Board will conduct a public hearing on conveying vacated alleys and streets in Monteith. Following the public hearing, the Board will look to approve the conveyance and transfer deeds to property owners in Monteith.

Other action items include: partial self fund forms and a third party administration service agreement with Employee Benefit Systems; a collective bargaining agreement between County Secondary Roads and the local Teamsters Union; and Iowa Department of Transportation vehicles. The meeting begins at 9am in the Supervisors’ Room in the Guthrie County Courthouse.
