acgcThe ACGC girls golf team nearly claimed their first team win of the season in a duel with Coon Rapids-Bayard yesterday. The Crusaders’ 253 strokes edged the Chargers 274 to claim the victory in Coon Rapids.

Kena Baier and Haley Sheeder shot the top rounds for the Chargers, each finishing in a tie for third with 60. This was one of the few times this season ACGC took a full team to a competition, as three other golfers participated. Morgan Sheeder shot a 76, followed by Sally Jo Geckler with a 78, and Jessica Stringer with 81.

CR-B’s Makala Downing won the duel for the individuals with a 54. Teammate Sydney Honold placed second with a 59. The Charger girls will have a quick turnaround as they’ll compete with the boys team in the Woodward-Granger triangular with the host Hawks and Panorama. This meet was rescheduled from April 9th due to weather. First tees begin at 4pm from Woodward Golf Course in Woodward.
