Weather permitting, the Panorama golf and soccer programs will resume competition away from Panora today. The Panther golf programs have the shorter trip as they’ll head to the 5 x 80 golf course in Menlo for a nine-hole quadrangular event against golfers from Earlham, North Polk, and West Central Valley. The meet will be the season opener for the Panther girls golf team while the meet is only the second competition this spring for the Panorama boys golfers. The round tees off around 4 p.m.
The Panorama soccer teams are looking for the first winning streaks in program history when they visit Logan-Magnolia for a nonconference match. The Panthers swept a varsity doubleheader Thursday in Panora over Grand View Christian; Panorama won the girl’s contest, 12-0, while the Panther boys soccer team outlasted Grand View Christian, 3-2, in double overtime. The varsity girls game kicks off competition at 5 p.m. and the boys game to follow 20 minutes after the conclusion of the girl’s contest.
