petsAn annual event benefiting the furriest of Guthrie County’s inhabitants is coming up this weekend. The fifth annual Panora PETS (Protecting Even the Strays) FURBALL is Saturday at the Lake Panorama National Resort and Conference Center Ballroom. This year’s theme is “The Great Catsby.”

The event begins at 5pm with cocktails and a silent auction. The dinner will follow at 6pm and the live auction will conclude the festivities at 7:30. Tickets are $30 each and 20s-style cocktail attire is encouraged.

This is the largest fundraiser for the no-kill rescue shelter serving Guthrie County. There are currently about 175 animals either living in the Panora shelter or in foster homes. Money raised from the fundraiser will go towards general services for the animals, including: food, shelter, medical care, and transportation.
