It’s National Library Week this week and the Jefferson Library is capping it off in a big way tomorrow.
The Greene County Library Association and the Greene County Board of Supervisors are sponsoring a free movie opportunity at the Sierra Community Theatre in Jefferson. Library Director Jane Millard says the movie is “Ready Player One” that’s based off the book by Ernest Cline. Millard talks about the free movie for those in six through twelfth grades.
“This is an action-adventure (movie). A young man is searching for a digital Easter egg hidden somewhere in virtual reality universe. It’s a reality-bending treasure hunt and bound to be a lot of fun for the teens.”
Each teen that registers at any of the county libraries can also receive a $2 off coupon for the concession stand. Any parent or guardian that would like to join their child will be charged an admission fee. Teens must register at any of the county libraries to participate in the free movie.
