Dearly Undeparted

Tonight is your last opportunity to see the Perry High School Drama Department’s spring play, titled “The Dearly Undeparted.”

The play is a comedy about an old lady and her grandson who take part in a seance that goes wrong. Director Randy Peterson says it’s a very funny play with lots of visual gags and physical comedy, and he believes it’s something everyone will enjoy. Junior Jayden Whitney stars in the show as Pearl Hedgepath, the “crazy cat lady” who doesn’t want to move out of the house her husband built. She encourages the public to join the audience and have a good laugh. “It’s really just a fun play. There’s a lot of humor in it, and it’s pretty family-friendly for most of it. There’s some jokes that will probably go over the kids’ heads!”

“The Dearly Undeparted” will be performed tonight in the Perry High School Performing Arts Center, with curtain going up at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door and cost $5 per person, with all proceeds supporting the Perry Drama Department. See a full list of the cast and crew below.
