A recent donation was made to the Greene County Relay for Life.

The Greene County High School volleyball team donated $1,200. The total represents three seasons where the girls raised money through their “Purple Out” events, which included: games, raffles, jersey sales and passing around a hat during matches. Head coach Donna Carhill says their focus has been pancreatic cancer. The donation will be added to the total amount that the main event will bring in on Saturday, April 21st.

The event will include: a 5K run/walk, community barbecue meal with pork and beef burgers, a silent auction, traditional survivor reception, plus entertainment and a luminaria ceremony to close it out. It will take place from 9:30am to 2pm at the Greene County Community Center. Individuals or groups can also donate by clicking the link below.
