The quality depth of this year’s Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers girls soccer team was on display for only 40 minutes Thursday in Carrol. Six ADM players accounted for 11 goals in one half of play, leading to a shutout season-opening victory over their Tiger counterparts in the Raccoon River Conference. Freshman Ashlyn Watt registered a hat trick in her high school debut, while senior Izzy LaFollette and sophomore Breana Parkins deposited a pair of shots into the back of the net. Senior Carli Hansen and sophomores Josi Lonneman and Delaney Barton rounded out the scoring with one goal each. The win marks seventh straight opening night victories for ADM over Carroll, improving the Tigers to 1-0. ADM resumes their season Thursday in a nonconference match versus at the Norwalk Warriors.
