Practical_Farmers_of_Iowa_horizontal_logoLast month, Practical Farmers of Iowa (PFI) released the locations for their “Labor4Learning” job training program, and an Adair County operation made the list. The Dale and Marcie Raasch farm in Bridgewater is one of fourteen farms to offer aspiring farmers on-job training this year.

The family farm has been in existence for 40 years and offers a diversified operation, including: fruits and vegetables, cattle, hogs, and chickens. Farm job duties are not specific, but include: planting, weeding, harvesting, and packaging. They will also offer opportunities to learn more about sales, bookkeeping, and marketing.

This is the sixth year PFI has facilitated the program.
