As a reminder to all Iowa residents: property taxes are due Monday.

Guthrie County Treasurer Marci Schreck reminds all property owners that the second half of real estate taxes are due and payable. The fees must be delivered to the Treasurer’s Office at the Guthrie County Courthouse no later than normal business hours on Monday to avoid penalties. Payments sent through the mail must be postmarked by that date.

Property owners should include their tax statement with payment to insure proper credit. Contact the Treasurer’s Office during normal business hours for more information.
